Antares and Edit Print publishing houses announce books coming out soon
Antares Publishing House will complete the planned publications by the end of the year, Arkmenik Nikoghosyan, Editor-in-Chief of the publishing house told Panorama.am.
He informed that “The Glass Bead Game” by Hermann Hesse will be published translated from the German by Ara Arakelyan, “The Law of Eternity” and “Me, Grandma, Iliko and Ilarion” by Nodar Dumbadze in one book translated from the Georgian by Hrachya Bayramyan.
“I would also mention the Essay Collections by Joseph Brodsky translated by Leonid Zilfugharyan. The book by young novelist Levon Shahnur “Journey: Before Love”, the new collections by modern poets Avag Yepremyan and Eduard Harents are also to be released,” Nikoghosyan informed.
“We have also created the Retrospect series of books that aims at presenting the works which that have had little circulation or are not quite popular among the readers due to different reasons. In the frames of the series the novel “Yerevan” by Mkrtich Armen will be published by the end of the year,” Mr. Nikoghosyan told, adding around 150 books are annually published by Antares.
To his words, the books are selected in accordance with the adopted policy of the publishing house – that is to close the gap of the Armenian translation field and popularize the best modern Armenian authors.
Meanwhile, the chairman at the Edit Print Publishing House Mkrtich Karapetyan informed that in the coming days the fourth volume of the Persian Tales would be released.
Apart from that, Chinese fables entitled “Wisdom box” will come out in cooperation with Armenia’s Embassy to China, which is planned to be distributed among Armenian schools and libraries free of charge
Karapetyan also announced about the upcoming series of the Tales of the World (Hans Christian Andersen, Oscar Wilde, Charles Peron) presented in a dual language format both in the English and the Armenian versions as well as in the Armenian and the Russian.
