Economist: Word “subsidy” is so common in the new government program, that one is frightened
“The issues are clearly defined in the new government program,” Economist Ashot Khurshudyan noted during the discussion on the topic of “Government program and the RA economic challenges: declarative provisions or concrete steps?” held in the Media Center.
“Government’s actions surprised and pleased me. People have attached great hope to the new government. This means the society actively reacted to the implemented reforms,” Khurshudyan mentioned.
According to the economist this new government has been perceived as the one that has shown willingness to tackle the issues, while previously it was considered to have given its power to some officials.
“People’s expectations are a great assistance to the government. If failed to make use of it the situation will be worse than it was before, as the new government program prescribes non-standard measures,” he noted.
Turning to the government program the speaker mentioned that he had been attracted by its preface, the rest had been unclear to him.
“Subsidy is mentioned as a primary measure in almost all the spheres. The word “subsidy” is so common in the program that one can be frightened,” he stated.
