"Armenia is a donor country"
Brain drain in Armenia is one-sided phenomenon which is not compensated by inflow,” Head of Alternative research center, Economist Tatoul Manaseryan expressed his concerns during the discussion on demography held in the Economic Journalists Club.
“It turs out that we prepare experts to present them to other countries becoming a donor,” the economist noted.
Completing Manaseryan speech, ethnographer Ruben Yeganyan noted that brain drain in Armenia is a significant loss as the people who live the country are likely to generate positive changes in Armenia in the coming future.
“I would call that phenomenon “pushing out brains” instead of brain drain. After studying in abroad a person returns here and is not demanded. He cannot realize the acquired knowledge here and as a solution goes back to abroad,” Yeganyan announced.
