“Lullaby of Taron” premiered at the Yerevan ReAnimania International Festival
“Lullaby of Taron” by animator Naira Muradyan was premiered today in the scope of the 8th ReAnimania International Festival of Yerevan. In an interview with Panorama.am Mrs. Muradyan said it was her decision to present the lullaby through an animation.
The four-minute long film depicts the life in two parallel worlds. “Below, under the earth someone lives, while something is going on above. The idea is the dream of baby under a lullaby, first the mom’s face - then imaginary personages, angels. If a child is able to perceive the music, it would be interesting to them,” Muradyan said.
Muradyan also spoke of her ongoing works, namely film by Poet Zahrat “Markos and Markos”. The film also features the music of Tigran Hamasyan.
Muradyan shared the opinion that ReAnimania festival promotes the development of animation in Armenia/
“It brings inspiration among the youth. They have the opportunity to talk and exchange views with the authors in their motherland whom they have heard about. They would be further determined to become animators,” Muradyan explained, who also praised the good traditions of the Armenian animation coming from Hay film studio.
Muradyan says she is not keen at participating in festivals. She has lost her interest in those events, being wholly engaged in creative works for most of her time.
“The youth are interested in festivals, they are active and eager to receive feedbacks. The Armenian animation is competitive abroad. We have good studios; they are small, yet mobile. Exclusive works are created, other paid works as well. Our nation has the desire to create - something not every nation may be proud of,” Naira Muradyan concluded.
