Prime Minister invites jewellery companies to facilitate production in Armenia
Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan visited today the Junwex Yerevan Show-2016 international jewellery exhibition at the Meridian exhibition center. The exhibition center is located on the territory of the free economic zone, which provides tax and customs privileges to the businesses operating here. Around 80 companies representing 14 states participate in the exhibition this year.
As the press department of the Government informs, the Prime Minister toured the pavilions, familiarized with the jewellery pieces presented by the local and foreign companies, jewellery tools, familiarized with the activities and upcoming programs of the firms.
Welcoming the participation of both the local and foreign companies, the Prime Minister highlighted the initiation and implementation of practical business projects. Karen Karapetyan ensured that the Government stays ready to encourage production initiatives, preparing specialists, creating job places, increasing the volumes of the production, expanding the market and thus promoting the further development of the sphere.
“If you enjoy tax privileges, if you benefit from doing business here, what is the problem? Come to Armenia and facilitate production, train the people to benefit and get profit for yourself,” the Prime Minister stated, instructing the Minister of Economic Development and Investment to actively cooperate with jewellery companies.
To note, the Junwex Yerevan Show-2016 international jewellery exhibition is organized by the Armenian Jewellery Association (AJA) for the sixth time under the high patronage of the RA President with the support of Armenia’s Government.
The exhibition is aimed at supporting jewellery development, deepening of the international cooperation in the sphere, experience exchange, realization of new ideas and projects.
