New foundation to be set to renovate Talish village
The public and authorities both in Armenia and Artsakh share the approach to the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. That is to secure peaceful future for Artsakh that is not under Azerbaijani control in any status, Deputy Speaker of Armenian National Assembly Eduard Sharmazanov told reporters on Monday at a briefing in the National Assembly.
Sharmazanov summed up the results of the two-days visit to Artsakh, including the frontline, Talish village, his interactions with the servicemen and meetings with Artsakh President and parliamentarians.
“This approach is advocated by Artsakh President, all the fractions represented in the parliament and the servicemen themselves,” Deputy Speaker of Armenian National Assembly stressed.
Sharmazanov next informed the visit had been the third since the April war, pointing out to the changes on the ground, specifically “the frontline is fully equipped with military technical devices”. However Sharmazanov expressed regret over Talish issue where no population resides after the four-day war, and the issue of resettlement is still there.
“The matter was discussed with Talish former residents, President Bako Sahakyan, Vitaly Balasanyan, and all of us arrived at a conclusion that steps should be taken to renovate Talish and resettle it,” Sharmazanov said, informing about the initiative to set a foundation for the parliamentarians to make donations.
“The means donated to the foundation will be aimed at renovating the kindergarten and the school of Talish village in a short time as well as the destroyed houses for the residents to return to their homes,” Sharmazanov said, adding the resettlement program of Talish was on the agenda with the Artsakh resident.
