The young star of women’s Boxing in Ireland Mary Kate Nevin accused the Russian coach in the attack
A young boxer from Ireland Mary Kate Nevin said that the hotel in the German city of Stralsund, where he was an international tournament, the Queens Cup, she was hit by a Russian coach, according to local media reports.
15-year-old winner of the competition was hospitalized after a man punched her in the eye. According to the victim, he and a friend walked down the hotel hallway, loudly talking and laughing along the way. The noise they make, apparently, was the reason for attacking the Russian coach. The angry man rushed out of his room and struck Mary in the face. The girl was taken to a nearby hospital, where she received the necessary help and released back to the hotel. The attacker’s name was not specified.
“We are shocked by what happened. We contacted the German police do not intend to lower business on brakes. The investigation will also be involved in Irish Boxing Association (IABA), the Russian side and the international organizations”, – said the Manager of the Irish team Bernie Harold.
