The heavy snow that fell overnight caused a lot of broken tree limbs and even trees in different communities of Yerevan, resulting in trees falling on roads and impacting traffic.
In other areas, the heavy, bending tree limbs came to rest on cars parallel parked beside the roads. Panorama.am camera recorded the scenes throughout Yerevan.

Arthur Gevorgyan from the press department of Yerevan’s Mayor’s office told Panorama.am the relevant service would take care and remove the trees from the roads.

To Gevorgyan’s words, neighborhood communities are responsible for cleanup of the dry branches and debris from trees to provide to the socially disadvantaged families as a fuel. 

Asked why preventive actions, namely the trees had not been trimmed on time, Gevorgyan said they lacked instructions from the environmentalists.
“Most probably they couldn’t manage since the there has been much job for a small crew,” Gevorgyan said.
