Armenia received humanitarian aid worth US $37 million in January-September 2016
According to the custom declarations data provided by the State Customs Committee under RA Government for the period of January-September 2016, 5 535.6 tones of goods were imported into Armenia as humanitarian aid with total value of 17 751.2milliard AMD or $37 022.0 million.
According to data released by Armenia’s National Statistical Service (NSS), 55.7% of the received aid comprised products of chemical and related industries, 15.7% - articles of textile, 7.4% - different industrial products, 3.1% - plaster, stone and cement items, 3.7% - machinery and equipment, 14.4% - other goods.
For the period of January-September, 2016, the US share of the provided humanitarian aid to Armenia has comprised 18.2%, 25.0% came from the EU countries, 20.8% – from Switzerland, 4.9% - from Japan and 10.6% - from China.
