David Nalbandian defies death in spectacular rally crash in Argentina
The 34-year-old Argentine retired tennis player of Armenian origin, ex-Wimbledon finalist rolled twice in his vehicle before he and his co-driver were helped out by shocked fans, The Mirror reports, saying the former tennis player lost control of his vehicle during a national competition on Sunday.
Footage taken by spectators showed his Chevrolet Agile rolling twice before ending up on its side. He and his co-driver were helped out of the battered car by fans who at first feared the worst. The dramatic crash happened in San Justo in the province of Entre Rios around 200 miles from the Argentinian capital Buenos Aires.
He was taking part in the Copa Maxi Rally, part of the national rally calendar.
