Armenia’s Agriculture Minister meets with Syrian Charge D’Affairs to boost economy and trade
Despite the fact that Armenia and Syria enjoy friendly and warm relations in the political sphere, the cooperation in trade and economy is yet to be improved with a huge potential for development, Charge D’Affairs of the Syrian Arab Republic to Armenia Mr. Essam Nayyal stated during the meeting with Armenia’s Agriculture Minister Ignati Arakelyan.
In order to fill the gap and activate the collaboration in the sphere of agriculture, Essam Nayyal presented the list of the products the Syrian side is ready to export to Armenia. Minister Arakelyan on his side promised to consider the proposal.
As the press department of the Ministry of Agriculture reports, at the meeting Minister Arakelyan touched upon the situation in Syria and expressed hope peace would soon be established in the Arab Republic. The minister next stressed that the Syrian experience in the sphere of agriculture would be exemplary and valuable for Armenian specialists. With this view the minister highlighted the need for exchange visits of the relevant specialists.
