Polish Krakow Choir to perform in Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall
On 11 November the famous Krakow Choir will perform medieval Polish music in Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall within the events celebrating Poland's Independence Day. The event is organized by the Embassy of Poland to Armenia in cooperation with the RA Minstry of Culture and Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of Poland. The Ambassador of Poland to Armenia Jerzy Marek Nowakowski told the reporters during today's meeting.
"The independence day is a unique day for Poland and the Polish people. And i think that day has the same importance for the armenians as for the Polish nation. Its importance can best be realised by the Armenian nation as Armenia had lacked independence for many years," the ambassador added.
According to General Producer of the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra Arman Padaryan it is not the first cooperation with the Embassy of Poland. "The cultural ties between Poland and Armenia continue deepening and the Embassy of Poland has provided support to the Philharmonic Orchestra to organize concerts in Poland and to receive visas."
Padaryan informed that the choir of Krakow city is composed of 12 performers. "During the concert lasting one hour and ten minutes in addition to the medieval Polish music the works of famous composers Szymanowski and Górecki will be performed."
