Economist: Do not take IMF predictions for granted
During today's meeting with the reporters economist Tatul Manaseryan called upon not taking for granted the predictions made by the International Monetary Fund.
"I want to remind you that the made a disservice to Armenia, and if the fund had not expressed such a downgraded outlook on the Armenian economy, our country would have certainly registered higher indicator of economic activity," he added.
Manaseryan noted that it refers to the prediction made by the fund at the end of 2014, when zero growth was predicted for the Armenian economy.
"Now I want to ask a question: would any businessman make investments in a country with such an economy? I managed to make the IMF review such a dangerous prediction in 2015," Manaseryan said.
The economist believes that the prediction made by the IMF had political reasons.
