Azerbaijan: Dashkasan District’s executive damages his fingers trying to break “Armenian flag
An event dedicated to the Flag Day was held in the Dashkasan District, Azerbaijan, on November 9. During the event, the chief executive of the district, AhadAbiyev, known for his extravagant statements and strange behavior, broke the Colombian flag made of slate with a punch confusing it with the Armenian flag, Minval.az reports.
Meanwhile, Report.az writes that Abiyev insists the flag made of slate was the flag of Armenia, and it was held upside-down. According to him, those, who say that the broken Armenian flag was the flag of Colombia, “play into the hands of the Armenians.”
In its turn, Bizimyol.info writes that the “Armenian flag” broke AhadAbiyev’s hand, when he defiantly punched it in front of the participants of the event.
Reportedly, during the event, several militaries brought the flag made of slate and desperately tried to break it. However, AhadAbiyev stated he would do it himself damaging his hand during the punch and demonstrating his “patriotism” and “courage.”
Earlier, representatives of the so-called Karabakh Liberation Organization of Azerbaijan burned the Armenian flag during their visits to the Alleys of Martyrs in Azerbaijani regions of Shabran and Jalilabad.
On May 8, 2015, on Day of Liberation of Shushi by the self-defense forces of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic, participants in an event at the Alley of Martyrs in Baku burned the Armenian flag. Haqqin.az reported for its part that the Armenian flag was burned by members of the so-called Karabakh Liberation Organization (KLO).
