Shavarsh Kocharyan: We should be ready for any step from the adversary
Armenia’s minister of foreign affairs has already made a statement about the military drills underway in Azerbaijan, Deputy FM Shavarsh Kocharyan told reporters on Thursday at a briefing.
To his words the problem remains that after the Vienna and St. Petersburg summits Azerbaijan should have given a notification 40 days prior to the beginning of the exercise.
“This is yet another indication that Baku actually continues torpedoing the implementation of the Vienna and St. Petersburg agreements,” Kocharyan stressed, adding Armenia should stay ready for any step from the adversary.
“That appears to have become an axiom, especially after the April incidents,” the deputy minister noted.
To Kocharyan’s opinion, Azerbaijani large-scale military exercises are a demonstration of force, suggesting through the drills the Azerbaijani leadership tries to compensate the failed expectations of the public, especially in the aftermath of the April war.
