PM suggests Central Bank President providing privilaged banking conditions to law-abiding taxpayers
During today's Cabinet session Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan suggested Central Bank President Arthur Javadyan holding discussions with trading banks on the issue of granting privilaged conditions to law-abiding taxpayers.
The PM noted the initiative belongs to the RA State Revenue Committee.
"Mr. Javadyan, the head of the State Revenue Committee has come up with the following suggestion: they want to introduce a classification in taxpayers by giving a status of a law-abiding taxpayer. I ask you to discuss this issue with the trading banks and if a taxpayer has such a title, qualification, will the banks grant him/her privilaged conditions? What do you think, can it be accomplished?" Karapetyan asked Javadyan.
In response, CB President said that they can make some amendments in the regulations and reduce the risk burdens for banks to encourage transparent organizations. "We have already applied this change regarding the exporting organizations. In that cases the banks have wider opportunities and the loan accessibility deepens. Banks are able to provide loans faster and with better conditions," he said.
