Prime Minister: We have special attitude towards bordering villages
There is a great potential for tourism development in Tavush Province and steps are to be taken in that respect. Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan discussed regional issues and development prospects with Tavush Governer Hovik Abovyan and the community leaders in in Dilijan town of the province.
"We truly intend to implement a major project regarding the tourism. We believe that Armenia's potential in the sphere of tourism is underestimated. In the nearest future the cheap airline services and the privileges to be granted to Russian citizens will contribute to the development of the sector, but we also need to provide quality services," Karen Karapetyan noted.
As Public Relations Department of the government informs he called upon the officials to submit business programs to State Committee on Tourism.
Issues regarding the preservation and maintenance of the historical and cultural monuments and monasteries in Tavush Province have also been discussed.
The PM have also welcomed and underscored the progressive plans aimd at improving the quality of education and based on modern technology, presented by the heads of several communities
Turning to the state of road infrastructures of bordering communities the Premier noted that there are numerous issues in that sphere and the government will repair the roads by priority.
"We have special attitude towards bordering villages and we are not speaking in the language of business. We have mandatory actions to carry out there," the PM stressed.
