"What? Where? When?" game world championship kicks off in Tsakhkadzor
2016 "What? Where? When?"14th game world championship has launched in Tsakhkadzor.
As the reporter of panorama.am informs 400 experts from 23 countries are taking part in the championship. Today the qualifying round of the game will take place. The event has been organized in cooperation with International Association of "What? Where? When?" teams under the auspices of the RA President.
The championship has been attended by such famous experts as Maxim Potashov, Alexander Drug, Alexander Rubin, Andrei Kozlov and the others.
Five teams from Armenia take part in the competition.
RA President Serzh Sargsyan has attended the opening ceremony of the championship.
"I am a big fan of the game, and although I do not know the experts present in this hall personally I have followed their games for many times. The game is very popular in Armenia. Credits to the experts who serve as role models for young people in Armenia. Let me welcome you once more to one of the most beautiful parts of our country: Tsakhkadzor. I hope that in addition to playing you will also get acquainted with our country, its culture and history. And if you like Armenia it will be a pleasure for us to host 16th and 16th championships as well," RA President Serzh Sargsyan noted in his welcome speech.
The partners of the competition are grant programs for NGOs by the RA President's Office, Armenia's Youth Foundation, Rosatom, Russian World Fund, Rosgosstrakh-Armenia and Voskevaz Winery. The information partner of the championship is PanArmenian Media Group.
