“Armenia among 20 most innovative countries in the world by 2018”: Business Innovation Forum announces its motto and program
The 4th Business Innovation Forum will be held on November 18-19 in Dilijan which is organized by the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE).
The motto of the forum is "Armenia 20.18 - Armenia among 20 most innovative countries in the world by 2018". The objective of the Forum is to create a viable business platform via leading to the sophistication of business communication in Armenia.
Head of UITE Hayk Chobanyan told a press conference on Tuesday saying in the frames of the event presentation of success stories and new technologies, business discussions with interested parties as well as theme presentations are be conducted with a view of placing Armenia in the list of 20 most innovative states.
“Armenia’s innovation development has no alternative. If we want to win and have a progressive state, innovations and technological development are the way we should choose. That is why the Innovation Forum is considered to be our main event which will bring together the forerunners of the sector,” Chobanyan said, adding the event will be attended by representatives and experts of leading local and leading international companies.
To Chobanyan’s estimates, Armenia is on the 60th place in the list of the most innovative countries, and the main directions which may bring Armenia close to the top innovative states are outlined today.
“Education comes the first, which is in tour focus, since our programs in the area are radical and revolutionary,” Chobanyan stressed.
Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investments Emil Tarasyan, also present at the conference, pointed out to the realization of the innovation police as one of the major preconditions to ensure economic growth. He recalled the world experience where any economic growth is barely feasible without application of innovative solutions.
