Armenian language to be taught as a separate subject in Beijing University
Minister of Education of the People's Republic of China Chen Baosheng has confirmed that Armenian Language will be taught as a separate subject at Beijing Foreign Studies University according to previously reached agreement. As Armenian Ministry of Culture reports, Minister Chen Baosheng has stated about this during the meeting with Armenian Minister of Science and Education Levon Mkrtchyan, who is on a working visit to China.
According to the release, the ministers have highlighted the cooperation between Beijing Pedagogical University and Armenian State Pedagogical University to develop joint programs and provide dual diplomas.
The ministry reports that Minister Mkrtchyan has had a meeting with Chief Executive of the Confucius Institute Headquarters Xia Jianhui. Armenian ministers have stressed that after the operation of the Chinese school in Yerevan, the role of Confucius Institute will be increased much in terms of training the local specialists.
An arrangement has been reached to develop a program to support the works of the Chinese School in Yerevan.
