Youth World Boxing Championship: three Armenian boxers to compete in today's round
Youth World Boxing Championship has kicked off in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Draw and weighting ceremonies of the tournament have taken place. The Press Service of the Boxing Federation of Armenia reports about this.
Three of the seven boxers presenting Armenia will start competing today. In 60kg weight class Narek Hovhannisyan will compete with Anan Tonkratok from Thailand. In 64kg weight class Tony Galstyan will fight with Indian Anshish, and in 69kg weight class Gurgen Madoyan's competitor will be Arthur Memberg from Germany.
On 19 November the fights of the 1/16 round will take place, when the next three representatives from Armenia take part in the tournament . Nemaly in 49kg weight class Arsen Abgaryan will compete with Adrier Reyes from Puerto Rico, Zhirayr Sargsyan's (52 kg) rival is Latvian Artura Zhinkovski and Vahe Badalyan (56kg) will compete with Mark Castro from the US.
The last representative from Armenia, heavyweight Gurgen Hovhannisyan will join the tournament in 1/8 round. Hovhannisyan rival will be the winner of the fight between Huni Jastia (Austria) and Alisher Dustov (Uzbekistan).
