Armenian Prime Minister appears to be the author of ‘Russiano coffee’
Russian media outlets disseminated on Wednesday reports about suggestion to rename Americano coffee as “Russiano coffee” mistakenly ascribed to Russian Prime Minister Dmitri Medvedev, while bloggers in the social media indicated that the author of the remark was Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan.
To remind, at the regular EEU Intergovernmental Council meeting Medvedev thanked his Belarusian colleague for working “exceptionally constructively.” When the Belarusian prime minister said that he owed his efficiency to a “coffee”, Medvedev shot back: “He says, ‘Give me an Americano.’ The whole thing sounds politically incorrect to me!’’. Medvedev next asked the participants to rename the coffee.
As the footage suggests the Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan was the one who pronounced the word “Russiano”.
