Boxer Anush Grigoryan loses because of referee's inequity
Armenian women’s boxing team member Anush Grigoryan (51kg) lost her first game against the representative of the Netherlands at the Women’s European Championships, underway in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The Boxing Federation of Armenia quotes the coach of the Armenian team Harutyun Nazaryan saying the Armenian athlete was in the lead for most of the competition, however the referee unjustly gave the victory to the opponent.
In Nazaryan’s words, the referee’s controversial decision came as a surprise even to the coaching staff of the opponent team.
