This year Paronyan Musical Comedy Theatre celebrates its 75th anniversary. Throughout the whole year a number of performances were held in tribute to theater devotees Vardan Achemyan, Artemi Ayvazyan, Aram Ter-Hovhannisyan, Tadevos Saryan and Shara Talyan.   

The jubilee events were concluded by today's ceremony held in Paronyan Musical Comedy Theatre.

"Our theatre was  founded in strange and critical conditions_the Patriotic war outbreak, famine, hard times_ and at that time our authorities decided to found a comedy theatre. One of our prominent writers Avetik Isahakyan has noted: "Yes, we can also defeat our enemies due to the weapon of laugh."

What has changed 75 years on? The war haunts us. We are again constructing a theatre building in Gavar," Artistic Director of Paronyan Musical Comedy Theatre Hakob Ghazanchyan noted.

The Director of the Comedy Theatre Karapet Shahbazyan noted that they try to follow all the traditions the theatre had in 1941-1942. He added that as all the spheres the theatre has its issues as well, but the team continues to work and create. 

RA President Serzh Sargsyan also congratulated the theatre staff on its 75th anniversary and the actors of the theatre were awarded with state awards and titles upon the decrees of the president.
