Republican Theatrical Festival of Young Directors to kick off in Yerevan
“X" Republican Festival of Young Directors will take place on November 22-25, Panorama.am learn from the Union of Armenian Theatrical Figures.
According to the information, the festival will provide an opportunity to speak of the creative preferences of the current young theater directors as well as select the three best directors who will visit Moscow to take master classes in the summer school organized in the scope of Chekhov International theatrical festival.
Performances will be alternated with discussions of the professionals, theatre critics and spectators. Experts from Moscow will participate in the festival, headed by RF People’s artist, Chairman of Moscow Meyerhold Cultural Center Viktor Rizhyakov. Their aim is to choose one performance to be included in the program of Young Theatrical Forum of Confederation of Moscow Theatre Unions to be held in Almaty in 2017.
The festival is an opportunity for revealing promising young directors aged 35 or less to present their works created during the previous theatre season.
