Marianna Lima wins awards in Vienna and Prague song contests
Young singer Marianna Lima who performs in jazz, blues, soul and gospel genres, have returned to Armenia again with a victory. This time she has participated in Vienna stars 2016 (held in Vienna) and Prague stars 2016 (held in Prague) song contests. Composers' Union of Armenia reports about this.
In Vienna she won the award ranking the first honorary grade and In Prague she won the Best Award as an author-performer for her song "Falling". She has also won Grand Prix"award after the joint results of the two contests. In Vienna Marianna has performed "Our Blues" song composed by Narine Zarifyan. The song lyrics has been written by Marianna in cooperation with S.G.
Member of Composers' Union of Armenia Narine Zarifyan has been awarded with an international diploma by the Organizing Committee of the Vienna contest for the best jazz composition.
The song contests held in Vienna and Prague have been organized by The Festival Bridges international organization. A total of 2000 singers and dancers have taken part in the contest.
At the end of the Vienna and Prague contests Marianna also left for Oslo where she got acquainted with talented jazz musicians Nick Spielberg (saxophonist) and Victor Berezinsky (pianist). Together with the artists she performed in a concert for the Oslo audience. The singer hopes that their cooperation will be continuous.
