UN: Over one million Syrian civilians are under constant threat
UN Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs of the UN Security Council has announced that over one million people in Syria are under constant threat of attacks.
As BBC reports, in his words the number of the Syrian civilians who are under constant threat, has doubled making up 974 thousand people. As he has put it, they are detached, hungry, deprived of any medical treatment and are under constant bombardments. And they cannot receive any aid to leave the dangerous areas.
According to the UN official in many cases the Syrian population have ended up in such a situation due to the actions of the government.
