Armenian weightlifters launch at Junior & U23 World Championship
Israel is hosting the 2016 Junior & U23 European Weightlifting Championships from December 1-12 where Armenia will be represented by seven athletes in each tournament.
At the 2016 Junior Weightlifting Championships Sona Poghosyan (75kg), Arpine Dalalyan (+75kg), Davit Gasparyan (+62 kg), Davit Hovhannisyan (77kg), Samvel Gasparyan (94kg) and Simon Martirosyan (+105kg) will fight for medals.
At the U23 tournament Armenia will be represented by Izabella Yalyan (58kg), Smbat Margaryan (56kg), Gevorg Baghdasaryan (62kg), Razmik Oltetsyan (77kg), Karush Ghukasyan (94kg), Mikayel Mikayelyan (94 kg), and Mkrtich Mkrtchyan (105kg).
