Audience admired by Nareh Arghamanyan’s performance in Lucerne Festival
On 19-27 November Piano International Festival was held in Lucerne, Switzerland. One of three concerts within the festival was entrusted to Armenian pianist Nareh Arghamanyan, who is living in Vienna.
As Orer.eu reports, the program of her concert featured the works of Russian composers Rachmaninoff, Glinka, Valakirev, Stravinski and Skyrabin. Nare played the two-hour program without a break and received continuous applause by the audience. Afterwards, she played three more times for the demanding audience of the festival.
The next day of the concert Luzerner Zeitung daily described Nare’s performance in this way: “She managed to combine the whispers and outbursts, and as three years ago, she fascinated us to feel the longing of the human heart in her living melodies. At the end of the concert she exploded the hall with her incredible skills by performing Stanislavski’s “Fiery Bird”.
Lucerne Piano Festival is considered one of the most important musical events. Such famous pianists as Grigory Sokolov, Murray Perahia, Maria Pires and Rudolf Buchbinder have been invited to the festival.
