Court hearing of the Nork Marash armed group starts in Yerevan
Court of General Jurisdiction of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan started today the hearing of the case on the armed group that was neutralized in November 2015.
According to the indictment, the group illegally bought and stored the weapons in one of the houses in the capital’s Nork Marash district. The group was headed by RA citizen Arthur Vardanyan, and plotted to kill senior Armenian officials and carry out other terrorist attacks in Armenia.
In the scope of the case, 20 people are charged, former senior officials and public political figures among them.
Judge Armen Bektashyan will chair the court.
