Talish residents’ return to their home village would be an important decision, Fedya Apresyan, teacher at the secondary school at Alashan village that mostly accepted students resettled from Talish told Artsakhpress. In her words, the war scenes and the fear are still in children’s memories, that nonetheless seems temporary with the view of the village reconstruction underway and the planned increased security measures in place.   

“However, as the expression goes, better late than never. Talish reconstruction works are underway. According to the planned activities, we will have more comfortable school building for the forthcoming September 1, new residential buildings and roads, and Talish will receive a second breath,” the teacher noted, dismissing any idea of leaving their home place regardless of any circumstances.
 
School administrator Anahit Danielyan shared the students’ dream of being back to Talish. “Children are missing and have even drafted a wall paper with wishes about returning to the home village and living there. Anyway, our ultimate concern is the one - to have peace. Today we are settled in Alashan. We understand there is no much difference where we live should the war start, since the danger is felt everywhere,” she told the reporter.

Lusine Bluzyan, former Talish resident who has five children remains optimistic about the possibility to move to Talish as well.

“My husband serves in Talish, while I live here [Alashan] with my five children. Our family was the last to leave the village and wants to be the first to return, if the promised conditions are in place. We see our future in our beloved Talish,” Bluzyan told Artsakhpress.

The source reminds that it has already been one week that a group of Talish residents have resettled in their native village and some activities aimed at renovating the houses and other infrastructures of the village are underway.  Artsakh President Bako Sahakyan paid a visit to Talish village on 26 November and noted that all the measures are to be taken to renovate the village.
