Georgi Avetisyan, Deputy Director of the Laboratory Activities and Public Relations Department of the Republican Veterinary and Phytosanitary Laboratory Service Center SNCO of the State Food Security Service, is happy to have left the service. Meanwhile he warns the laboratory is at risk of destruction.

“SFSS is a collapsed organization. For many years the service has been headed by people who have no idea in this sphere,” he stated during the meeting with the reporters.

In the words of G. Avetisyan the head of the service, the chief of staff and the advisors are not specialist of that sphere. He claims that it is not arbitrary that any of the specialists of the sphere have not taken part in professional discussions.

“The service always hides itself behind the press releases. The heads of the organization are well aware that if they participate in a press conference it will be revealed that any reporter has a better insight in that sphere that they do,” he noted.

G. Avetisyan called upon the reporters to join their efforts in order to remove the laboratory from the service and to save it somehow.

“To dismiss the specialists and to appoint non-professionals to the positions of the director and deputy directors is a sign of the collapse of the laboratory,” he noted adding that if the laboratory is headed by specialists he is ready to cooperate with it.

To note, G.  Avetisyan has also added that they have conducted an objective laboratory expertise but he does not know what has happen to the results.
