Two killed as the minister’s state car falls into gorge
The state car of the Defense Minister has fallen into a gorge. The accident occurred near Goris town of Armenia’s Syunik region. Acting head of the Public Relations Department at the Ministry of Defense Gevorg Altunyan confirmed the car accident with Panorama.am, saying two people were killed in the crash.
“The two involved in the car accident were the driver, serviceman lieutenant Armen Muskiyan and security officer lieutenant Aleksan Simonyan,” Altunyan detailed.
He next informed that the minister was not in the car at the time. The accident circumstances are under investigation.
Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situation on it part said a fire brigade and an operative rescue group left for the scene after an emergency was received.
