Powerful cyclone strikes Armenia on 14 December, MES reports
Hydrometeorological Service of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations warns that on 14 December Armenia will be under the influence of a powerful cyclone zone. Precipitations are predicted in all the regions mainly in the form of snow. In Ararat and Armavir regions, as well as in Vayots Dzor foothills and low-lying areas of Yerevan wet snow and sleet are expected in the morning, which will turn into snow after the noon.
Intensive snowfall accompanied by low horizontal visibility and snowstorm is predicted in Shirak, Aragatsotn, Lori, Tavush, Gegharkunik, Kotayk and Vayots Dzor regions. The roads will be covered with black ice.
Taking into account the above mentioned predictions the drivers are called upon to drive to the mentioned regions only in cases of strict necessity.
