Hrant Melkumyan is a half point behind the leader
Games of round 6 of FIDE Open took place yesterday. In this round Hrant Melkumyan and Robert Hovhannisyan have claimed victories against Frode Elsness and Johnny Hector respectively. Only young chess player Davit Mirzoyan lost his game against GM Deepan Chakkravarthy J. of India.
As the Chessfed.am reports Aravindh Chithambaram from India continues to hold the lead of the tournament having scored 5.5 points out of 6.
However 10 players, including Hrant Melkumyan of Armenia are just a half point behind the leader. Robert Hovhannisyan has scored 4.5 points and Davit Mirzoyan_ 3.5 points.
