“Everything was organized well. The meeting with the Artsakh servicemen was especially impressive. I really saw a shine in their eyes,” Rector of Yerevan Academy of Fine Arts Aram Isabekyan noted during today’s meeting with the reporters speaking about the visit paid to Artsakh and the held meetings.

“We held a very important meeting with NKR President Bako Sahakyan. During the in-detail discussion we learnt things that were not available to the mass media. We made offers and listened to theirs,” he said.

Director of Hamazgayin (Pan-National) Theatre after Sos Sargsyan Vardan Mkrtchyan noted that during the meeting held with Bako Sahakyan they were informed about a very significant thing. “The population of Artsakh has slightly increased recently. This is a very pleasant news.”

He noted that the cultural life is quite active in Karabakh. Al least 300 cultural ceremonies are held annually in the NKR Culture Chamber.

“The problem is what mechanisms are to be applied in order to help the local professionals to develop and spread their products abroad. Today the NKR population face a certain issue: they are unable to spread their culture,” V. Mkrtchyan noted.

President of the RA Writers Union Edward Militonyan, who has also participated in the Artsakh meetings, has noted that three different situations are currently in Armenia, Diaspora and Artsakh.

“It seems that no serious discussions are held over this issue. There is only one way to unite the three of them: that way is culture,” the intellectual added.
