Hrant Melkumyan suffers defeat at FIDE Open
Today the last round of FIDE Open tournament was held. According to the results of the games of Round 8 which took place yesterday Hrant Melkumyan lost his game against Abhijeet Gupta of India. Before this round Melkumyan shared the 2-3 places. Robert Hovhannisyan and Davit Mirzoyan have ended their games in draw. Chessfed.am reports about this.
One round before the end of the chess tournament the leader also changed. Aravindh Chithambaram from India, who held the lead of the table from the very beginning, lost his game against Etienne Bacrot from France in Round 8. The latter claimed the lead of the tournament before the final round.
Robert Hovhannisyan and Hrant Melkumyan have scored 6 points each and Davit Mirzoyan has scored 5 points.
