NKR negotiation process frozen, MP Karen Bekaryan says
The negotiation process of the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict is currently in a frozen stage or in a deadlock. Armenian MP, Chairman of the “European Integration” NGO Karen Bekaryan expressed such an opinion during the meeting with the reporters.
In his words the Armenian side quite naturally demands Azerbaijan to fulfil the reached agreements, however the Azerbaijani side has neither intention nor will to implement them.
Speaking about the joint statement issued by the heads of the delegations of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair countries, he observed that although the statement did not have an explicit addressee, every person who deals with the NKR conflict directly or indirectly can figure out what the statement was about.
According to the Chairman of European Integration” NGO after the April war it is not easy to return to the negotiating table. He noted that the meetings held in Vienna and St. Petersburg arose some hopes regarding the peace talks, however Azerbaijan always follows the same habit after such meetings: he rejects the agreements reached with Armenia.
