Armenian GM Levon Aronian not included in top three of London Chess Classic
London Chess Classic tournament has been completed.
In the last round leader of the chess tournament Wesley So ended his game in draw against Maxime Vachier-Lagrave and single-handedly ranked the first. Fabiano Caruana also drew his game and held the second position. Vladimir Kramnik, Viswanathan Anand and Hikaru Nakamura scored 5 points each and shared 3-5 positions.
Anish Giri, who ended all 9 games of the tournament in draw, ranked the sixth. Armenian GM Levon Aronian, who also took part in the chess tournament, suffered defeat against Veselin Topalov in the final round and shared 7-9 positions together with Maxime Vachier-Lagrave and Michael Adams. Topalov ranked the tenth position.
