SFSS tightens control during holidays
The State Food Security Service will impose heightened supervision on the products in trade centres. In particular during 23 December 2016- 8 January 2017 the service will pay inspection and control visits to the food stores.
The service reports that the visits aim at revealing the fact of the compliance of the expiry date and required storage conditions for the foodstuff. In case of revealing some violations the food with the expired date the foodstuff kept in inappropriate conditions will immediately be withdrawn from the market and will be eliminated informing about this to the person in charge. Working groups will also be set to maintain supervision in meat markets as well in different regions.
The formed working groups will work with an emergency regime across the republic. The alerts and complaints received by the citizens through the hot line of the service will receive quick responses.
“In this respect we call on the customers to immediately contact the hot line of the service at 010 20-60-40 or submit your complaints via the e-mail [email protected] in case of finding out foodstuff with expired date, without labelling or with any other defects,” the statement released by the SFSS reads.
