Lavrov says Aleppo evacuation to be completed in two days
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov says that the evacuation from Syria’s Aleppo should finish within a couple of days, AFP reported.
“Right now the evacuation is wrapping up,” the source quotes Lavrov as saying at a joint press conference after meeting with Turkish and Iranian counterparts in Moscow. “We hope that this is a question of one or a maximum of two days.”
To Lavrov’s conviction, the Russia-Iran-Turkey format today is the most effective one for tackling the crisis in Syria,
"I believe that the format that you can see here is the most effective one," Lavrov said. "Today’s troika format has proved with practical action it is in demand," Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said after talks with his Turkish and Iranian counterparts Mevlut Cavusoglu and Javad Zarif in Moscow on Tuesday, according to TASS agency.
