Scenes from Hovhannes Tumanyan’s fairy tales ‘to be brought to life’
Interactive World Company and the Hovhaness Tumanyan Museum have organized a painting contest for fine art schools operating in Yerevan and Armenia’s regions. General Manager at Interactive World Company Tonik Tonikyan told Panorama.am the competition participants are tasked with drawing scenes from renown Armenian writer and poet Hovhannes Tumanyan’s fairy tales to be scanned and screened through 3D technology.
“We have received around 100 drawings from different schools, selecting seven works as finalists out of them. A special focus has been paid to the partners’ skills and the quality of the animation,” Tonikyan explained, adding the selected works will be screened at Hovhannes Tumanyan Museum on December 25 for the visitors to watch animation of a fairy tale happening around them.
The program is of social nature and organized by the company’s financing. The best three works will receive awards, Tonikyan said, adding the competition will be continuous.
