Lit candles and flowers in front of Russian Embassy in Yerevan
Hundreds of politicians, public figures, students, and ordinary citizens have left flowers and lit candles in front of the Russian Embassy in Yerevan to a memory of Andrey Karlov, Russian Ambassador assassinated in Turkey. People came to express their sympathy and solidarity to the Russian people.
The gathering was initiated by the Youth Foundation of Armenia and the Youth Organization of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) along with other youth structures.
“We wished to convey our condolences to the Russian people and to the family members of the assassinated diplomat,” one of the participants of the gathering Nersik Margaryan told reporters.
Argam Arshakyan, RPA Youth organization representative stressed that the event aims also at condemning the acts of terrorism.
