Armenian chess players extend their winning streak at Sharjah Cup
Sharjah Cup International Chess Championship continues in Sharjah city of the United Arab Emirates with the games of the second round completed.
Three Armenian chess players - Maria Gevorgyan, Armine Babayan and Susanna Gaboyan claimed victories in the games following their respective wins in the first round.
Ten chess players, the three Armenians among them, lead the table with 2 points each.
In the third round Armine Babayan will face Baira Kovanova with the highest FIDE rating represented at the tournament. Susanna Gaboyan will play with GM Evgeniya Dolukhanova, while Maria Gevorgyan will compete with Aisha Jehad.
