Boris Navasardyan: Incredibly difficult conditions are created for reporters
“It is evident that we are about to end up in a situation when the reporters of Armenia have to be careful when covering the elections, which is a negative development in the current situation of Armenia,” Yerevan Press Club's President Boris Navasardyan noted during today’s press conference.
He reminded that during the previous elections it was the reporters who informed the society on election frauds, and in many cases the gross violations were prevented due to the active participation of observers and journalists.
“Today that important lever of supervising elections is weakened or lost,” B. Navasardyan added.
He noted that incredibly difficult conditions are created for journalists in Armenia. “They hardly manage to overcome that obstacles and continue their activities naturally suffering some losses,” he concluded.
