Christmas tree lights up in Aleppo
After a prolonged period, Christmas tree has been installed in Aziziyah neighborhood of Syria’s Aleppo. The news brought inspiration to the Syrian-Armenians Facebook group members to mark the end of the violent clashes in the city.
“Hay Dzayn” news portal details that Christmas tree has been a tradition in the neighborhood, yet it was discontinued for several years due to the bloody conflict.
“Aleppo victory with smile” is the most common message accompanying the video footage that is actively disseminated in the social media to show the tree installation.
To note, the news about festive event came following the reports of Aleppo liberation, marking an end of years of fighting for the city between the government forces and militant groups.
