Hripsime Khurshudyan: I am even thankful to those who did not vote in favour of me
Member of women’s weightlifting team of Armenia, double champion of European Weightlifting Championship Hripsime Khurshudyan has been surprised and inspired at the same time finding herself ranked the 8th place in Armenia's top ten athletes. Through her facebook post the Armenian athlete has thanked everyone who has voted in her favor.
“I am thankful to all the reporters and news agencies that have voted in favor of me and I have been included in the top ten list of the Armenian athletes. It inspired me a lot. I am even thankful to those who did not vote in my favor,” Khurshudyan facebook post reads.
Notably in 2016 the Armenian athlete became double champion of Europe and the incident in connection with the use of stimulants refers to the 2012 Olympic Games. In addition to this, the Armenian athlete has been disqualified temporarily as the International Weightlifting Federation has not yet issued its final decision.
