Ministry of Agriculture applies to the Prosecutor General’s Office to bring “Winar” company to responsibility
The RA Ministry of Agriculture has applied to the Prosecutor General’s Office to bring “Winar” company to responsibility for failing to fulfil the duties undertaken towards the farms. Deputy Minister of Agriculture Robert Makaryan noted about this during today’s meeting with the reporters.
“This is an exceptional case as the Ministry has always tried to settle such issues during the discussions and this incident will restrain the activities of the dishonest purveyors in the future,” the minister noted.
He avoided making any remarks and noted that the details of the incited will be revealed after the preliminary investigation.
“The perpetrators must be brought to responsibility,” he said.
In the words of the Deputy Minister of Agriculture the company has announced that it has a debt totalling to 47 million AMD, however the ministry has revealed that the debt of the company makes up over 100 million AMD which has been accumulated as a result of negligent and irresponsible work of the company’s administration.
Makaryan has added that initially the owner of the company claimed that he could not manage to sell the alcohol. The Ministry was running talks with different organizations for one and a half month, the deal failed to be stricken with one of the buyers, however it was found out that “Winar” company had no alcohol.
Makaryan informed that they had managed to take alcohol costing 16.5 million AMD which was bought by Proshyan Wine/Brandy Factory. They have received the list of the villagers from the governor and the sum will be given to the creditors in the coming future.
Six companies have unfulfilled duties towards the villagers regarding the grape harvesting in 2015. Five of those companies (Sisavan Winery, Areni Wine, Maran, Château Arnauld and Shahnazaryan) have undertaken commitments to pay off the debts till the end of the year.
