FIDE publishes list of chess players to participate in Women's World Chess Championship
FIDE has published the list of those chess players who will be able to compete in Women's World Chess Championship. The chess tournament will be held in Tehran from 10 February to 5 March of 2017. All those who have received the right to take part in the championship are required to sign the contract and to submit them to FIDE office before 4 January. Armchess.am informs about this.
The list features 62 chess players who will be joined by the candidates of FIDE president. The preliminary list is led by Chinese Hou Yifan. Armenian GMs Elina Danielyan and Lilit Mkrtchyan are included in the list. Natalia Pogonina, Valentina Gunina, Alexandra Kosteniuk, Nino Batsiashvili and other famous chess players are also among the participants.
