Gagik Surenyan firecasts weather fluctuations for January
No precipitation is expected on December 29, 30, and 31n in the territory of Armenia, the Deputy Head of the Hydromet Service of the Minister of Emergency Situations (MES) Gagik Surenyan told reporters at a regular briefing.
''n Ararat plain, Shirak and Kotayk regions, in the hill districts of Vayots Dzor and Aragatsotn regions thick fog will be observed, especially in the night and morning hours with a clear ice on the roads as a result of that. No change in temperature will be observed as well. On the night of December 31- January 1 weak cyclon from the The Mediterranean Sea will enter the territory of the republic with snow expected mainly in Shirak, Kotayk, Aragatsotn, Armavir, Ararat, Yerevan and Vayots Dzor,''urenyan informed.
Expanding on the weather forecast for January, Surenyan said reletavily warm whether is expected as compared to December.
''However, January may bring weather fluctiatons as well. Cold and warm air streams
May penetrate into Armenian with intense precipitation and temperature ranging +4-+5 in Yerevan,'' Surenyan informed.
